When my husband retired and we moved to Florida, I decided not to continue reupholstering furniture. Instead only create custom slipcovers. Reason being, I was getting to old to lift a sofa by myself and I wanted to have a much smaller workroom. As time has gone by, some of my customers have requested reupholstery. Most pieces are to large for me to handle and I refer them to an excelent upholster. Below are a few small pieces that I have chosen to do.
My customer inherited the 2 chairs from an eldery Aunt and wanted them restored.
There were 3 bar stools to reupholster. The wrought-iron frame is heavy and very well made and definitely worth upholstering.
I found this chair at a tag sale for $8.00 and reupholstered it.
The orginal skirt was pleated. I deceided to change it to a soft gathered one, to allow the pattern to be more fully exposed.
